The Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland sponsored a fashion show at the Executive Caterers at Landerhaven in Beachwood, OH on Saturday, October 11, 2008. The Divabetic Makeover Your Diabetes event was amazing. We didn’t expect 700 people to be so excited about learning new ways to manage their diabetes. This event was right up our alley! Max Szadek was a wonderful host and even dragged my mom on stage (she hates speaking in public) to talk about the dittibags and give one away to a special young lady with Type 1 diabetes (just like mom). The excitement in the air was contagious. We had a fabulous time meeting everyone. The one picture we have is from my camera phone so it is very fuzzy. I just had to get a pic of my mom on stage!
